|

I have a friend from the US coming to visit at the end of July and we'd like to do a motorcycle tour of Korea. It'd be best if we could each ride separate bikes, maybe 125cc's or 250's -- preferably cruiser style.
Would he need to get a lisence and insurance for the short time he'd be here? (2 wks)
Or can he rent a bike somewhere in Seoul? From a shop or from anyone on here maybe???
I live down on Geoje-do and he's flying in to Incheon -- so it's a little difficult to imagine how to go about having 2 bikes ready to go when we both arrive in Seoul. I don't have a bike for myself yet either -- still deciding on whether to get one here and ride up, or just buy one up there.
Any ideas? All help would be much appreciated |

you can get those things, but you can get away without them. Does he ride? Traffic here can be nasty, the drivers ruthless, and anything but observant. still it would be fun. 125's are cheap, the price jumps up steeply after it. I don't know about renting, but you could buy one, ride it and possibly sell it, provided you still kept the papers, when he leaves. i've been riding here for 4 months and I've totaled one bike already. |

Thanks for the reply -- I've decided to do just that -- buy 2 bikes and sell one after the trip. Going bike shopping in Seoul this wknd. |
