First question, do they have an office where one can get the re-entry visa/permission thing?
Second, how far is the airport from the KTX terminal by cab.
Thanks |

Regarding the first question, yes there's an office they take you to for a re-entry permit when you get to customs. I've done it twice, takes about 5 minutes. |

If I remember correctly it was less than 20 million won to get there by cab from KTX station. |

It would take you a good long time to get from Busan station to the airport, especially if you hit it at rush hour. I would bet on at least an hour to be safe.

dudes...the new subway (line 3) takes you to within a 10-15 minute taxi ride of the dang thing.
http://pusanweb.com/guides/index.htm
pusanweb have wikied their guides.
Go to transportation--> subway
oh wait...it's pretty useless
Go into the subway...go towards Seomyeon (but PAST).
On the orange line (1) go to Yeonsang dong. Go to subway line 3.
You want to go TOWARDS Deokchun (I believe the NEXT stop is "Geojae" and the LAST stop in that direction is "DaeJo".
Now STAY on that line until the Busan Sports Park. Get out. Get in cab. Relax for around 15 mins...badabing badaboom.
Here's the map:

yeah..that's nice. |

The best thing is to get the KTX to Gu-po Station. All runs go to Busan Station, but a lot go to Gu-po Station as well. Gupo Station is much closer to the airport than Busan Station. Although I've never been on the number three subway, what the previous poster mentioned might work fairly well and be a little cheaper, too. All that you have to do is cross the street after you exit Gu-po Station to get to the Gu-po Station subway(I'm pretty sure). Might save you a couple thousand won doing that, or it might just be quicker and easier to hop in a cab from Gu-po Station as it looks like it's only two subway stops to the Sports Park which will cost you 900won.
EDIT: Wife said that the train that goes from Seoul Station to Gu-po Station takes about 20 minutes longer that the regular Seoul-Busan run. It goes about 50% of the time. The cost is the same even though there are three or four extra stops...make sure you listen for the Gu-po stop as the train doesn't stop for long and it's before Busan Station. If you want a 5% discount ask for the 역방향 (backward facing seat) ticket. She said the cab should be about 6,000, but don't be surprised if it's anywhere between 6,000 and 10,000, depending on traffic. |
