|
|
i need to get some new text books for my middle schoolers
they are grade 2 and 3
we have used postcards and headway which some dumb teacher before me chose and the kids have really really struggled with it (needless to say) what is a good book for the kids to get their confidence back with
note..their english level is not that of typical middle schoolers its slightly below due to the difficulty of the text studied
thanks |

A couple of suggestions :
"Go for it." 1,2,3 ( basic grammar, book 1 is very basic)
Winner. Book 4 ( I liked it and so did the students)
Hope that helps. |

| I'll second the motion for the Go For It series. Although at places the books are poorly edited, there are many short exercises that can be done alone or in pairs. There's a workbook too in case the parents insist on having homework. We have two classes at the moment and they're in books 1 and 2 and it's my intention is to keep them going all the way through book 4 unless someone convinces me of a better curriculum. |
