|
|
Let's say you have a C-3 visa that's good for 90 days each time you enter the ROK. Can you reset the 90 days just by going to Geumgangsan, North Korea, and back? Think about it this way:
Cost of a Day Trip to Geumgangsan: 110,000 won
I noticed the last time I came back from Geumgangsan that they stamp your passport with a new arrival stamp when you arrive at the "port of entry" on the ROK side of the DMZ. However, at the time, they just wrote in "D-4" (student visa) for the validity period, so I have no idea if going to Geumgangsan and back resets the clock on your tourist visa.
I mention this because I bet a day trip to Geumgangsan is two or three times cheaper than going to Fukuoka and back. Anyone care to test this out? |

Nothing like throwing cash at the feet of a dictator so you can save a couple bucks. |

Thank you, that was really constructive. Anyone actually know if this works? |
