It's looking like I may be securing a position at a public school in Daegu soon. I've searched the topics for info about life in Daegu, but there's nothing really helpful or specific. The websites make it sound quite liveable, but that's what websites do.....Is there anyone out there who lives in Daegu, or has lived there and if so what's it like? I'm looking for info on quality of life, apartments, parks, gyms, nightlife, and how easily it is to meet people.... etc. I am an outdoor enthusiasist and prefer jogging outside, so would like to know if there are parks where this is possible....and gyms, are they expensive and what is their general condition? How easy is it to get near the hiking (mountainous) areas?
Any info would help. Thanks for your time in advance!!! |

BUY a ticket and come, SELL what you need to get rid of before doing so, and TRADE Daegu in for another city if you don't like it... so many jobs and cities to choose from in the even you don't like Daegu.
There, we justified the placement of your post.
Daegu is fine, it has everything your looking for... ask how close your apartment is to downtown... make sure your on the suway line and not in the bush... although you might be cool with that, I know I wouldn't.
It's a good city... 3rd largest in the SK, plenty to do and see... Seoul is 90 minute bullet train away if you need more. |

Yeah this is the buy, sell and trade section of the website if you didn't already getthe hint from the guy above me...
Deagu... 3rd largest city... Not really anywhere... Try Busan if you are into hiking, the beach, night life, and exploring... Its a beautiful city, less pollution then Seoul, but still a lot going on... You can take a short ferry ride to Japan as well... There are sooo many job offers... try www.pusanweb.com if you still have a hard time figuring out what you wanna do... The gyms are the same as back home... cheap gyms have cheap memberships, expensive and really nice gyms are also avalible...
Good luck! |
