Which parts are the same as today, and which are different? I liked this part:

I'm not sure but I'd say the tiger threat is much less than it used to be. Anybody agree? |

Haven't seen a tiger lately, but I doubt the ladies visiting mothers and sisters and friends left
huge puddles of puke on the streets during their late-night escapades. |

I also like how this British 19th-century scholar pretty much sums up the opinion you hear so much here that Korean women are hotter than others in Asia. More eloquently put, but the gist is: "damn, these girls are smokin'."
