Does anybody out there know what passes for a chiropracter in Korea?
I mean, are they usually part of a traditional medicine clinic (acupuncture), or do they have a different title here? I live in a small city, so there may simply not be one here, but I need to get adjusted.
Thanks. |

Our uni has a chiro major but here's the rub(no pun intended)-practising the science of chiropractry is illegal in Korea UNLESS a patient is referred to a chiro by a licensed doctor. Weird huh? because as I say there are chiros here but they can't get patients unless they are sent by a doctor.. So go to a doc or probably a better chance of getting a referral is a hospital. If you have a problem PM me and I'll tell you how to contact our hospital which will refer you to 1 of our chiros but I'll warn you that the hospital where we train them is 2 hrs out of Seoul. |

Hey,
Thanks for the info. I am actually nearer Taegu than Seoul, but the stuff about the doctor first is good to know. I don't have a serious problem, just a lower back that doesnt let me sleep well. Not a big deal....
Thanks! |

Many people who are "physical therapists" know/do some chiropractic. Also, if you want some of the "less-invasive" treatments that some chiropractors in the US use (electro-stimulation, massage, etc.) these are available at Chinese doctors in Korea. |
