A few come to mind.

Jack Youngblood playing an entire half of football on a broken leg. That's tough.

Emmit Smith racking up close to 200 yards against the Giants with a dislocated shoulder. That's tough.

Ronnie Lot voluntarily having his pinkie finger amputated because a nagging injury was getting in the way of his career. That's insane.

You won't find these boys rolling around in the grass and begging for a red card.

No such thing as an nfl tough guy, it`s an oxymoron ( and they are all morons ). They wear pads like poofy little girls, thus, they can never qualify as tough guys...

I used to play in high school.

Go stand under the lights on a Friday night and return a punt.

Play safety and try to take down a 220 pound fullback.

I used to be in so much pain I would actually cry at night.

The most I weighed in high school was a buck sixty. It's a tough sport.

And that's just high school.

I wish the Discovery Channel would do a show to see which sport is tougher, rugby or American football, and finally put this nonsense to rest.

The argument is the western adult world's version of "my dad could beat up your dad."

You're probably right. You go return punts at the largest highschool in Louisiana. I've had my clock cleaned by guys who made it pro.

They are grown men who wear pads, costumes, masks, and make up, therefore they are queer. And hey, don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being queer...they're just queer that's all...

I met Carl Eller, Jack Lambert and Amhad Rashad and Steve Grogan when they were playing in the NFL. I was a little kid though. Them were some real mean lookin fellas. A few teeth missing here and there too.

Jack Lambert was a freakin bear in his day.

Actually he was really cool, picked me up by my waist and practically threw me into the air. My old man just laughed and laughed and talked shit with Jack. It's one of those moments you remember spending quality time with your dad....but can't remember all the little details.
