Hmm...Kwanak ECC.I used to be there.
Its a money-maker.Thats what they intended.If you aren't keeping enough students there,irrespective of what you can teach them,they'll think up something and let you go.
The supervisor was good(Young)
On the other hand,its the only place I've worked here where the Korean teachers were openly hostile to the native speakers.As in,basic rudeness-calling people stupid monkeys because of their OWN mistakes in misplacing reports.Another occasion a native speaker tried bumped into the Korean teachers one night and a Korean teacher dragged the other korean teacher away.Like,don't talk to HIM.Co-worker or not.Very unpleasant atmosphere.
And they will tell you to your face you did no overtime.I did 4 extra hours-here's the tally.No you didn't.....
If yr going to teach elementary/middle school,find a public school gig for the sake of respect and job security. |
