Hello everybody,

First of all, I have been through quite a number of threads here on this site regarding pensions in Korea, but I have not been able to find the information I need. If this topic has been covered before, please let me know where, and apologies in advance.

Now then, here is the situation. After almost four years, I am preparing to leave Korea. I am quite familiar with the process for applying for pension refunds, having read quite a bit about it. However, of my four employers here, only one (a public agency) has actually paid the contributions.

In all three of the other cases, hakwons of course, even though my statements noted deductions, nothing was paid. I'm sure others must have dealt with this. What options do I have?

You will have to file a complaint with the Ministry of Labour -
