Why don't Americans listen to Palestinians?
Racism, bigotry, too much Israel lobby? Perhaps the idea that lurking behind the Palestinians is Al Queda et al. Both sides can write persuasive essays but after you check facts - both sides are equally distasteful choices. Its annoying.

Exactly. I have never understood why we have to listen to either side.

A pox on the them both. And their fellow travelers like sunjubuman, subverting the U.S. from inside.

umm....why do we listen to South Korea more than North Korea???

It seems unfair to only listen to the democratic free one.

maybe if we listened to them and gave them whatever they wanted, they'd still want to kill us because we aren't muslims.

Sorry, but your fellows the Israelis are of the same basic stock as their close cousins the Arabs, and their ways and beliefs have little in common with the core values of the United States. Shame on you and their lobby for bribing politicians to try to make us think they do.

The US gives 3 Billion a year to Israel - who has a GDP of something like 100 Billion dollars a year . If the US did not give 3 Billion a year to Israel would Al Qaeda or Hezbollah , or Hamas, Iran or the Bathists or those that support them quit? Probably not.

Anyone remember that Bin Laden blames the US for supporting Russia in Chechnya and supporting China's oppression of muslims , and for low oil prices?

I've met plenty Arabs and Israelis.

Have to say, Israelis are "bigtime' closer to Americans and westerners in outlook and ways, than are Arabs. If you think about it- most Israelis were living in western countries up until a generation or so ago- and that they did for centuries beforehand.

no, most of the Israeli elite is that way. Those on the lower economic and social scales are generally arab themselves (ie jews that originated from arab countries pre-1948). The present Defense Minister and head of the Labor Party is one such example. He is the first Arab Jew (blocking on the term Israelis used) to hold those posts I believe.

I don't know about official state department policy, but as for me, I choose to stop caring about the first person who resorts to suicide bombings.

Are you serious?

Look at their human rights record.
-Is south korea systematically killing thousands of their own people?

-Are they signing up 14 old virgins to be concubines for the army.

-Is S.Korea ignoring the rest of the world to advance it's own political agenda?

They want to kill us because we are infidels. It's quite simple. You don't believe in Allah, then you are the enemy.
