Ok, so I am looking at the map of the Seoul train/subway here...http://www.smrt.co.kr/swf/english/cyberstation/main.swf

How far apart are some of those stations? They look very close together. Any opinions on the subway system?

You guys have to have pity on me... I live in Atlanta, GA and our wonderful rail system is a joke... Don't believe me? Look here http://itsmarta.com/getthere/schedules/index-rail.htm ... That is the ENTIRE city of Atlanta... about 30miles from North to South.

I'm actually looking forward to using the subways there. Hopefully it is as good as people brag about, since I won't have a car anymore (dear God...)

It seems to me that the farther out of the city, the more spaced out the stops are. The subway covers a lot of the surrounding area that is not Seoul--from Cheonan in the south to Uijongbu in the north, Incheon in the west to whatever the eastern-most stop is. If you click on the "Departure" and "Destination" buttons on the left of the map you posted, you can get an idea of the travel times. It's pretty accurate for the routes I travel regularly.

I was wondering about that... when I do click on two stations, it just thinks about it, but never gives me any info. Maybe it is because I have a Mac???
