Are there any specific notions connected to it? I have been invited to a Korean coworkers house on short notice tonight and I don't really have anything at home to bring, except the gold wine (the one with the little gold flakes and the Maesil in the bottom). I don't have time to go to the store. Is it OK to bring this stuff? It doesn't have any traditions attached to it like its only sold at Seollal or its only for funerals or women can't drink it or anything does it?
I also have a horrible bottle of red wine at home that I would like toget rid of (its unopened). Do you thinkI could bring it or would they know that its trash too?

This may be ground breaking, but you could grab your wallet and go out and buy something

Since you didn't read my post, I'll restate: I don't have time to go to the store.

The person is dropping me by my house and waiting for me to walk the dog, then its off to their house.

I'd go with the wine. It may be crap, but how likely that she is a wine connisseur. She'll probably just give it to someone else anyway.

Who knows what the gold flakey thing is about.
