Has anybody here seen the guy from Canada on E.B.S. 2? If so, what do you think?

Is he the monkey I saw on TV dancing around in the rice fields on Saturday morning? The guy I wanted to slap? The most annoying person (Korean or foreign) I've seen on Korean TV?

He's a good friend of mine, in fact. I have only seen part of his show once.

Are any of those TV people on this board? I'm curious what they have to say about it. Do they feel like monkeys, or is the money worth it? I'm sure the face recognition from Koreans is worthwhile, even if the rest of us are smirking at them.

Steve doesn't use this board, much too busy. Just because you are on tv, doesn't mean you are a monkey. If you are jealous, just admit it instead of insulting them.

Come on....selling any sense of dignity doesn't inspire people to compliment someone. He doesn't deserve respect for dancing like a monkey singing the "Apple Song".
I bet the T.V gig is part of some school hours somewhere. I knew some people on t.v and they had the t.v hours as part of their monthly 120. No extra money! I couldn't believe it.

Have you seen this guys show? He doesn't dance around and sing the apple song.

As well, it isn't part of his hours at some other school. He used to do the radio show full time and now does this tv show. He also has a full time job elsewhere.

Is this the new English channel we're talking about? (I just want to make sure I'm on the same wave length). If it is, my English coordinator was saying they are going to come to our school and tape one of our classes.

She also told me that the station is only avaliable if you have a dish. We are suppose to get a satellite hookup at school so every classroom will be able to watch that channel.

Probably, but they won't admit it.

BTW, since they make more money than me, I salute them. If they get laid from being on TV, I salute them twice as much. Just imagine those groupies- Laughing Laughing Laughing

Nope. That guy is Nate. American.... Complete tool. I started a thread last week about him beating out Isaac as the most annoying foreigner on TV.

Anyone who performs in childrens tv programs always looks like a monkey's arse but not to the kids. Its when they look like a monkeys arse on the adult programs thats really bad. But still, most are getting money for it so why not.
The ones that appear on the likes of arirang's programs and give supposedly expert comments purely coz they speak english are the really sad ones. Like the girl on Rank Koea recently commenting on how good Korean cars are: i went for a ride in a friends car and it was really comfortable. what was she expecting, wooden wheels???

As opposed to being a monkey in front of your grade two class every day? Don't forget, I've seen you do the hokey-pokey, son. Laughing

Is Nate basically bald, chubby, and quite gay in terms of his behaviour?

He's definitely chubby... don't think he was bald. I seem to remember curly, long (for a western guy) hair. Very annoying, but not quite "gay". He seems to have more of a "I'm the mack daddy, Korea loves me, look how well I fit in" kinda attitude. Speaks Korean, but pretty painfully. He travels around with a Romanian dancer.... ok, maybe he is gay. Wink
