|
|
I installed a CD for downloading photos onto my laptop harddrive. The computer died. I lost the CD with the download program for my camera.

I am using a PC with Windows XP at present and when I plug in the UBS/UPS? to my camera, and the computer prompts me to install the software. Can someone please refer me to a site where I can EASILY download a Photoshop program?
I have some pics I want to download. I can't even view them until the are put on the puter. Whaaaa!
Thanks ahead of time.

I put the link in my original post to a site for the camera. It is a SiPix Style Cam Deluxe. |

Click the link, save the file to your hard drive and run it. You should run it without connecting your camera. After all is installed, connect your camera. I read at one site while looking for your download, that some people had to restart their system before it worked. If your camera doesn't show up after the driver install, disconnect it, restart your system and reconnect it again.
If it still doesn't work, plaese give us the model number of the camera. The link you provided is useless, as the site has been taken over; your camera files are not there any more. In fact, nothing of any worth at all is there anymore... |

I found my software. Yahoo! The sad thing is that none of the pics that I took while on my trip out west to visit my bro stayed on the camera. Maybe it has a time limit for downloading. I guess I will have to go out west to visit my bro again.
Thanks all...

Apparently, automatic picture deletion is a feature of that "camera". |

hello K-in-C
when you plug your camera into your computer do you get a new drive letter in your my computer folder?
if so, search for a program called "recover my files" and run it and it will recover all lost photos on your camera |

Where would I look? Sorry, I went to the computer folder but it said something like if you want a new letter driver click here. I did but I could not make it work. Can you please try to elaborate? |

sure
first, plug in your camera usb cord into your computer usb plug.
next find a folder called "my computer" and open it.
in the folder you should see:
"shared documents" "K-in-C's documents"
"local disk C:"
"3.5 inch floppy A:" "dvd drive D:"
right here should be a new drive letter that probably says "camera E:"
if so, search for a program called recover my files then on the program select drive E and recover.
hope this helps! |
