Several places to get this stuff, hit all of them and you'll find what you need. On the street behind the Hamilton hotel near Brix-Big Electric cat area on a corner, on the street leading up toward "the hill" near What The Book, and up by the mosque there's at least one small place I know of. |

Next door to "what the book" is an international grocery. You can get basmiti rice, couscous, coconut milk, spices, and Lamb. Walk up and down the streets in that area, you will find lots of shops. Go toward the Masque and you will see more. |

That one is good, but there is another with a good range of spices kitty corner to the 3 Alleys pub. The lamb pies at the one near what the book shouldn't be missed either. |

For super close to the subway exit: Go out the Burger King Exit. Stand with your back to Hamilton Hotel. Walk straight. Make the first left. Walk straight. There's a small store on the right with Basmati Rice and other Middle East fare. Not sure how the prices/selection compare with other locations, but the cashier is usually pretty friendly. Still don't have what you want? Continue along the road until you get to the road that Rio nightclub is on. There's a store near the intersection of the two roads that has stuff like lentils, tofu and non-sticky rice. (My roommate shops there, not me). Happy shopping! |
