August.

Pick a weekend for this bad boy. Bear in mind that the weekend of the 12-15th is a long weekend for some (ie. myself) so it's not the best choices for organizers (ie. apparently myself).

Let's put names to faces and hopefully the host wont' be drunk off his arse before he even arrives, eh?

Just an idea,
But you might want to have it after the school holidays finish as a lot of the public school teachers will probably be on vacation and the hogwon teachers will be busy with intensives. So I'd go for the last weekend.

or September even better.

But yeah, all the things you said.. intensives & summercamps, public school and university teachers gone, hogwan hours extended due to summer months, etc.

August just isn't a good meeting month in general.

This might not be a popular choice for the northern monkeys, but how about having it around Gangnam Stn to appease some of us southern monkeys?

Agreed. There's no way I can make it for the whole month of August, but I'd definitely be there if there were a gathering in September.

And my vote goes to Shinchon/Hongdae.

Now I think Z and Tibby are doing this by my request as I mentioned it to Tibs last week, but then wussed out(passed out really) of a barbecue yesterday before we all had the chance to discuss it. Embarassed

I would like to encourage us having a least a partial gathering in August sometime as I will be heading back to NYC for two years or forever in September(but not before I reach my newly adjusted goal--the millenium is coming...) and I would like to touch base with a whole bunch of everybody who posts here and was at the last gathering. Even eamo, I guess.

And I am all for Bundang (like we did a few months ago) or Gangnam.

And I will actually make it Z. I will. I will even suffer through all of Cubanlord's poopy jokes if he makes it up.

Now, in related news, could somebody PLEASE tell me the name of the ajuma in Dogyji's post in the Women And Bodybuilding thread?

Nah, Tibby didn't say anything. I just got twisted drunk last night and the thought crossed my mind.

We'll set the rough date for sometime in September. Location ideas and volunteers to organize would be great. I don't mind if it's in Hongdae/Shinchon, but elsewhere I'm sure someone else is more familiar with what's available. Just remember that it should be easy to stash 50 people or so there, preferably have a patio or outdoor area, cheap booze and hopefully some decent non-alcoholic options (I know a handful of people aren't drinkers).

gajackson also mentioned something about his apartment elsewhere. It does meet all the criteria, though it is in the Anyang area. Another possibility if he decides to put that on the table.

As for an August thing, organize something! Take the reins and have at it, flottie.
