I will be moving to the Hannam-dong area at the end of August for a new position. I have been in Korea for a year and a half, but have not yet needed to be responsible for finding my own place to live.

I was looking for any help that may direct me to a good real estate agent, website, etc. I am not looking for anything extravagant. Preferably a single that has general furnishing for less than W500,000 a month with a low key deposit.

I would welcome any information that anyone is willing to part with! Thank you!

Hi,

Michael, a caucasian guy who used to be the bartender in 2000-01 at the former location of Pancho's Mexican restaurant in I'taewon, is from Alaska, owns a realestate company just past Hooker Hill in I'taewon.

Walk past Hooker Hill. On the right, you'll see an Indian restaurant named Taj Mahal. Walk past this restaurant and look for the next left, the one that goes to the Seoul Mosque. Mike's company is diagonally across the street from the corner of this street.

A Korean guy who's pretty honest has a real estate shop near the Mexican taco, burrito, and enchillada joint near Haebongcheon. When you leave Noksopyeong Station, walk towards Namsun Tunnel. The Mexican joint is just before the big hill that goes up to the Hyatt Hotel; the real estate guy, who's fluent in English, owns a shop about a hundred feet before the corner of the hill.

PM me if you have any problems with these directions.
