Canadian company TextTrust sells software to eliminate "the negative text impressions on Web sites" had to send out its own statement again.

'Egg on the face'

The press release listed words including "independent", "accommodation" and "definitely", which were spelled "independant", "accomodation" and "definately".

I wonder if the PR monkey who sent this out used to post here!

This Canadian monkey thinks you meant "use to post here' as opposed to 'used to.' I used red to emphasis the words used and use. Idea

Have a nice day!

This is a internet board, people type fast and make mistakes.
That is a press release for a company that makes a spell checking product.

Accustomed or habituated to. This expression is often put as be or get used to, as in I'm not used to driving a manual-shift car, or She can't get used to calling him Dad. [Early 1500s]

Formerly. This sense is used with a following verb to indicate a past state, as in I used to ride my bicycle to the post office, or This used to be the best restaurant in town. [Late 1800s]
