Has anyone had a similar problem or know of anyone who has had??
My E2 visa has been revoked because my transcript does not have a stamp and signature on it. Unfortunately my university does not do such thing. And they were pretty firm on not putting a simple freakin' stamp on it. But they offered to notarize it for me by the school.
Do I have any options? |

Your E2 was revoked?
-you are here on an E2, they revoked it and you now have an exit order?
OR
They declined your E2 application because of your transcript and you can't get your visa?
Different circumstances and waay different answers.
If this is just another transcript question, and your uni won't give you an "OFFICIAL" sealed transcript then you are outta luck. Try China or Taiwan or Japan. |

I'm still here in the states and I signed a contract to start at the end of august.
I'm just awaiting my E2 visa. I got all the necessary documents sent of, yes including my OFFICIAL transcripts.
Here is where the problem lies, the OFFICIAL transcript was not stamped and signed by the uni. They do not offer such thing. such a sealed envelope stating that it is an OFFICIAL transcript and also states "void if seal is broken" on both sides of the envelope.
So I argued with them to put a damn simple stamp and signature on the flap of the envelope and all they could say is that they don't do that. And they offered to notarize it instead and this is all they can do. |

Why don't you go down to the store, pick up a stamp, and do it yourself? My transcripts have a date stamped across the seal and an illegible signature. If you want to go all out, you can also pick up an embosser and get some sort of official-looking circular seal and emboss the envelope. Not that hard for you to provide to immigration. And hey, your school can notarize the transcript? Even better.
If it's a real degree, and real transcripts, then the signed & stamped part should be no problem. That's the easiest hoop to jump through. |
Thanks for the advice I will try that. |
