I have a damaged passport and am aiming to get it renewed soon. Has anyone renewed a passport while here in Korea? Was it a smooth process? I've already contacted the embassy, but I'm interested in hearing from people that have actually done it. Cheers.

| From what I've heard, you can get it renewed without even going to the embassy. There is info about it on the US Emabassy Korea site. (google US Embassy Korea, you'll find it). |

Go here:http://seoul.usembassy.gov/us_passports.html
They now send all renewal applications to the U.S., so the process is much longer than it once was. It will take at least three weeks. |
