Just finished watching it. It was pretty interesting. The English lesson was a little creepy. |

I recorded it to DVD (cutting out the ads that played about every five minutes). For those who missed it, I'll upload it. My computer DVD drive doesn't want to play it back, so I'll have to do a roundabout way to upload the file (DVD player to DV to computer via firewire). I'll try to do it in the next day or so. |

I'd been anticipating this for weeks. For what it was, a glimpse into the lives of a few privileged folks there, it was good.
The Mass Games show they put on was very impressive.
But KJI not showing up? You'd think he'd show a little good will, just for the worldwide camera. And for 22~23 consecutive shows, right?
I know the kids who worked so hard were disappointed. "But we understand, Dear Leader is busy."
Send a classroomful to me. I'll having them laughing and wondering where the hatred is being preached from. No brainwashing necessary. |

Last night, I was commenting to my wife, "Yeah, probably busy with a bottle of cognac." Maybe also this: http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/07/23/nkorea.kim.ap/index.html |

It had been advertised for weeks as starting at 10 pm.
They showed an English lesson?! Argh! I missed that! Dogs had sudden pee in the park desires that I went along with. |

What about the history lesson? The three *I forget the word* characteristics of our Great Leader, something, something and "aura".
Also, did you notice how passerbys who weren't part of the clip they were filming would actually run away from the camera. There weren't many, but as soon as they saw the camera they ran from it. |
