Tomorrow I will teach my first class without a co-teacher. In previous classes, my co-teacher would translate the rules if necessary. But the students I will have tomorrow are absolute beginners in elementary school, and I would like a Korean translation in addition to visual cues. I want to start out FIRM.

Could someone translate these into Korean for me? (Hangul script, please)

1. Do not talk when the teacher is talking.
2. Do not talk when anyone else is talking.
3. Keep your hands to yourself.
4. Be respectful.

I can't guarantee that this is right, but I think the students can understand this:

I was a bit nervous for my first day without a co-teacher, but I was so well prepared for misbehavior that not a single soul dared to step out of line. Try as I might, I couldn't even use my well prepared consequences. I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities as the honeymoon period wears off. ^^

Anyway, since it was a group effort, if anyone would like a copy of my rule posters (English, picture, Korean), you can PM me with your email address, and I'll send them to you (Word format). If it would help a newbie (like me) start out on the right foot, I'd be happy to share.

By the way, my best class (in terms of English ability), by far, was first grade. I only teach 3-6 during the school year, so I'm starting to wonder how much of my older students' lack of English is just inhibition. Or perhaps it was just a bright group of young'ns.
