Bad: Korean pride will jump up to unheard of levels.

Good: Look where learning English will get ya! A world leader! It will, hopefully, open Korean minds up to the rest of the world, shake out more of the isolationists. "Korea can lead the world but you think like small town goots regarding x, y, and z? Come on!"

Say what you want about Koreans but they really get behind an idea when the whole world is watching them. It would be a force for change.

I hope he doesn't get it because there will be too many crappy jokes.

Whenever he takes a position on anything the newspaper headlines will say:
Ban on weapon shipments to China.
Ban on famine relief to Sudan.
Ban on Unicef charity fund.
Ban on this and that...

For a long time the head of the Canadian postal union was a guy with the last name "Parrot". It used to crack me up endlessly to see the headline:

Parrot calls for postal strike
