All of this comes from http://bluepyramid.org/ia/cquiz.htm brought to us courtesy of Hyalucent. So let's all allow a set of screwy online quizzes tell us who were are>
I'm....
Country
Quote: |
You're South Africa!
After almost endless suffering, you've finally freed yourself from the oppression that somehow held you back. Now your diamond in the rough is shining through, and the world can accept you for who you really are. You were trying to show who you were to the world, but they weren't interested in helping you become that until it was almost too late. Suddenly you're a very hopeful person, even if you still have some troubles. |
Everyone from Dave's get's a 30% discount on World Cup tickets. PM me for pricing and transfer details.
University
Quote: |
You're Columbia University!
Somewhat rough and tumble, you're looking for the lion's share of whatever you can get your hands on. You feel utterly surrounded by chaos and noise, but at the same time have access to a good deal of culture and influence. In this chaotic setting, you attempt to be a bastion of relative calm. You adore staircases and once expressed a desire to paint your roof green. |
Book
Quote: |
You're The Hobbit! by J.R.R. Tolkien
All you wanted was a nice cup of tea when some haggard crazy old man came into your life and told you it was time to do something with yourself. Now you're all conflicted about whether to stick with your stay-at-home lifestyle or follow this crazy person into the wild. While you're very short and a little furry, you seem to be surrounded by an even greater quantity of short folks lately. Try not to lose your ring, but keep its value in perspective! |
Animal
Quote: |
You're a Seal!
Though many try to imitate them, the noises you make are uniquely your own. You've been known to juggle, to perform balancing acts, and to clap your hands just a bit more than the rest of us might like. These wacky antics make you a fitting match with a circus or variety act, but you wish someone would perceive it as real talent instead. Most of your favorite places are just big rocks. Whatever it may mean, you've been kissed by a rose on the grey. |
Railway
Quote: |
You're the Frontier Mail!
While your presence used to conjure up images of unexplored lands and exotic beauty, now you're fairly settled down. You now have a strange fascination with golden temples, making you almost reminiscent of Indiana Jones. And while you do like tigers and swashbuckling adventures, you prefer to consider things carefully and make democratic decisions. Sometimes, however, you consider going postal. |
State(I'm not kidding)
Quote: |
You're The Moon!
You frequently take small steps, but you think very highly of each and every one of them. This aloof attitude doesn't begin to reflect how high and mighty you actually are, though you are able to reflect light onto others when it seems appropriate. Whether the glass is half full, half empty, waxing pedantic, or even crescent-shaped is something ever-changing in your perspective. These mood swings at least follow a consistent cycle, one that makes others believe you have mystical powers. Ultimately, your head is always in the clouds and you just can't seem to stay grounded. |
WTF?

You're Uzbekistan!
Back in the day, it seemed like everyone ran their commercial interests near you, but now they've become a little more illicit. At this point, you no longer have hordes of people stampeding you and you no longer are being oppressed by people with more power. All this freedom is leaving you a little isolated, but with the kind of trade you're doing, you'll be okay for a while financially.
Uzbekistan? WTHF?
I need a break before going on to the other categories. If I don't come back, it's because I decided to take a header off the top floor of my building. Uzbekistan? |

I'm already China and a hyaena (other thread) but also..
You're the Panama Canal!
While others are content to work long and hard hours, you're all about taking the shortcut. While this has benefited you for the most part, it has required starting several conflicts so that you could get your way. Your old profession doesn't seem terribly lofty to anyone, and sometimes you've even needed to dig ditches to get by, but you figure the results are worth it. Now, most of the time you're just cruising.
You're Animal Farm!
by George Orwell
You are living proof that power corrupts and whoever leads you will become just as bad as the past leaders. You're quite conflicted about this emotionally and waver from hopelessly idealistic to tragically jaded. Ultimately, you know you can't trust pigs. Your best moments are when you're down on all fours. |

And I am....
You're Thailand!
Calmer and more staunchly independent than almost all those around you, you have a long history of rising above adversity. Recent adversity has led to questions about your sexual promiscuity and the threat of disease, but you still manage to attract a number of tourists and admirers. And despite any setbacks, you can really cook a good meal whenever it's called for. Good enough to make people cry.
I was also:
Rhode Island
Jurassic Park
Brit Rail
A ladybug...WTF?!?

You're Canada!
People make fun of you a lot, but they're stupid because you've got a much better life than they do. In fact, they're probably just jealous. You believe in crazy things like human rights and health care and not dying in the streets, and you end up securing these rights for yourself and others. If it weren't for your weird affection for ice hockey, you'd be the perfect person.
You're a Dove!
A fan of olives and the United Nations, you'd love to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. You like stretching your legs at major events, and have done your best to ward off floods when the waters have risen. All this running around leaves you exhausted, and it often seems you can never quite get the peace you so dearly crave. You really like to take showers. |

South Africa
University of Bologna (They're right about the posture!):
Taking great pride in being the first on your block, you have often been seen as a leader in your community. Though often called upon to lead and even make statements, your posture is terrible. You think there's nothing funny about that, though you do find some comedy divine. Though you have an excellent overall reputation, there are those who think you're full of baloney.
Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game (But I'm so tired of "THE GREAT BOOKS")
Nevada (I guess)
Dodo (All true!):
Awkward and rather unsure of yourself, you can never quite seem to keep up with everyone else. This sense you have of falling behind has only heightened over the years, and you are beginning to wonder if you'll be forgotten about entirely. When they do consider you, most folks think you're rather stupid. What they don't know is that they'll miss you if you ever leave, even though they assume they won't. At the moment, people still don't want to go your way.
RENFE (for the train thing; I guess it's French) |

You're "Master Harold"... and the Boys!
by Athol Fugard
Even though you should have realized it for years, you're only just starting to understand how bad your society is. It's been keeping some of your best friends down for ages, and even you have been complicit with this system. When you make a mess, someone else is quick to clean it. When you need help, someone else is quick to your rescue. But when they point out injustice, you've pulled the wool over your eyes. Until now. If you ever need a cast, it will be small.
ARRRRGGGG!!!! (With apologies to my real western neighbors.)
You're Nebraska!
You are very, very plain. Great, but still plain. In fact, it might even be the plainness that makes you great. In the old days, a great nation could've arisen from your very aspirations and even conquered neighboring lands, but then others came and paved over everything with even rows of corn. Now your greatest conquests are over neighboring colleges, but even those are in honor of corn. It's the truth. So Sioux me. |

You're the United Nations!
Most people think you're ineffective, but you are trying to completely save the world from itself, so there's always going to be a long way to go.You're always the one trying to get friends to talk to each other, enemies to talk to each other, anyone who can to just talk instead of beating each other about the head and torso. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and you get very schizophrenic as a result. But your heart is in the right place, and sometimes also in New York.
You're an Iguana!
While many people think you're too strange to even have in the house, others have come to appreciate you as a sage figure in their everyday lives. You seem to maintain a piercing stare that bores holes into the souls of others, or at least sees if there are any bugs flying near them. You're more than a little rough around the edges. You used to love giving the thumbs-up sign but have more recently grown out of it entirely.
You're Harvey Mudd College!
You're a geek and you don't really care who knows about it. You probably built battery-operated cars in grade school with the help of only a straight edge and a piece of paper. You may have even actually worn the legendary pocket protector, which most people only think is something somehow associated with dorkiness. You love hanging out in really cool places and being utterly uncool. Your name is mud.
You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.
You're North Dakota!
You are rather remote, and even inaccessible to the average person. While many would thus describe you as stuck-up, to you it seems more like you're just stuck. When no one is looking, you yearn to engage in 19th-century European political subterfuge. When looking for peace, head for the garden. But please, be extremely careful around wood-chippers. |

You're a Gorilla!
Highly social and group-oriented, you like hanging out with the same people constantly. You have either black or gray hair and spend a good deal of time grooming it or getting others to groom it for you. Sleep is a big part of your daily routine and you like to either make very loud noise or no noise at all. You have more skills with language than most, however. One of your absolute favorite drinks is hot cocoa. |
