Army officer arrested for sexually harassing 20 soldiers
A 40-year-old Army officer has been taken into custody on charges of sexually harassing 20 subordinate soldiers, the Army said Monday. The major, identified only by his family name Ryu, a company commander of the 6th Army Corps, was arrested Friday on about 60 counts of sexual harassment after some soldiers filed petitions with the authorities.

Army Officer Arrested for Fondling Privates
An army officer has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting subordinates on several occasions since the beginning of the year. The major identified as Ryu was taken into custody at an Army base in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province on July 21, it was revealed Monday. According to the military, Ryu stands accused of fondling some 20 soldiers on 60 occasions since February during gatherings, in his office and in the men�s living quarters. Ryu is undergoing a psychological evaluation.

Well, it's good that they are finally reporting these things and arresting officers for it.
Many male students have told me some pretty shocking stories about abuse like this in the military.
The worst one was one who told me about his close friend. An officer took his friend into the barracks washroom alone and demanded that the private give him head. The private refused and the officer beat him half to death. The officer claimed that the private was being insubordinate and physically attacking him. Since there were no witnesses, the MP's believed the officer. |
