I moved to Ansan almost 3 months ago. It is fine, has everything you would possibly ever need. It's a city so you will not go without. My only grumble about Ansan is that because it's a new city, it's not very pleasing on the eye. It's just like an entire city of the same high rise housing blocks. It really does lack character and charm. However, it's only an hour from the centre of Seoul, serviced by an excellent metro system.
Good luck with your decision. Where is the job offer? |

As long as you're close to the subway (line 4), you should be fine:

If you have to take a bus from the station to wherever you're going to live then that'll get a bit annoying after a while if you're always going to be in Seoul. |

| It's 50 bucks in a cab from downtown Seoul. About an hour or more on the train. It's not exactly close. |
