Any plans? Exotic getaways?

My wife and I...eh...nothing. Staying here. Saving the money for our trip home during X-mas.

3 trips, either in the US or Canada. Weddings etc.
The big fun around here though will be Canada Day--the Cheyenne Mountain/Canadian Nato military contingent throws a swell party each year, commanding generals et al....but I'm looking forward to making noise with some veille souche from Quebec.

I've got almost all of August off and I'm going to Thailand for a week with a mate and New Zealand for 10 days/two weeks to see my mother. I'd much rather go home to England than NZ but it'd be nice to see my mum, who's living and working there for a year - plus my flight is free, so it doesn't seem much of a sacrifice. I've also got somewhere to stay. I'd have to sleep at friends' houses if I went home for a vacation, which I don't like doing.

Ten days in sunny Vietnam divided between Hoi Anh and Saigon with my beautiful wife. She's going shopping and I'm sitting on a barstool drinking lunatic soup and telling anyone who will listen my opinions on pretty much everything. Laughing

As I recall from our e-mail correspondence from Summer, 2005, you're from Miami, Florida - a pretty nice city with a lot of cultured people.

Let us hope that you, your wife, and extended family have a very happy holiday period together, Cuban Lord.

Sincerely,

R

I'm leading eight high school students on a one-week field trip to Canada and then staying three weeks until my sister's wedding. I should be good and sick of Canada by then.

I leave this week for a few days in Bangkok, then LA for a few days, then about 6 weeks in Miami.

But I hear the weather in Miami right now is wicked bad- and that's not counting potential hurricanes. Shocked

Thank heavens for AC- unless, of course, there is a hurricane.
