"I can 'Dis' America if I want" the Canadian from Toronto threw at me-he'd spit out that "America is a bad country."
"Bush is a moron" a Korean blurted at me-in class.

It just makes me wonder, how is it that both make crass comments and expect me not to think the same of them? And I mean this isn't random stupidity we're talking about here. It's all around me, these crass comments, like the Kiwi lady that flat out cut Koreans down to scuff marks by critizing their culture right in front of them. This bitterness!! This almost racist prejudice I find all around me, IS THE WORST ASPECT I'VE FOUND ABOUT BEING HERE and the reason I found living and working in Korea wanting me to say, I'VE NEVER MET MORE CRASS PEOPLE!!!!

I guess you've never been to the US.

Flags plastered over every car and storefront. Crass!

Lack of knowledge about both neighboring countries. Crass!

Truly believing that God thinks your country is the best. Crass!

American flag sets for sale everywhere you look right afer 9/11 happened. Crass!

Christmas turned into nothing more than a shoppoing bonanza. Crass!!!

The troll (OP) is no doubt the reason Americans have that stereotype. I have no doubt those opinions are being reinforced by the OP.

Take it as is ignorance! I've travelled to more then 67 countries and lived in 7 of them long term. The one overwhelming fact is that 90% of the crass comments I've heard come from ignorant people and the other 10% come from people who put there emotions in there opinions rather then logic!

Yes, there are racists in the South. You still use Nigger! But you don't have to go that far South to see racism check out what happened to two black CFL players in Montreal...or even how the French Canadians call Anglos names and vice versa.

Just go out in Korea, all foreigners experience racism and ignorance on a daily basis!

Saying that Bush is a moron is crass? Really? Guess that means that 99.9% of the world is crass. Now, saying that America is full of idiots because they managed to put him in the White House, well, that's crass. But true.

It wasn't until I met so many Americans that I heard the complete run of jokes about anyone south of them (and Guam, I had no idea how much scorn they have for people from Guam).

While we're on the topic of crassness, we could take a quick look around the boards and find quite a few examples.
