With a friend. Can anyone tell me where the decent clubs/bars are.
I'm into house music. and where do all the foreigners hang out? (not G.I's) I've heard Itaewon/Hongdae/Sinchon. are worth a visit. Can anyone help with bar/club names! Is it club day today also?

Many English dudes out there?

Im staying a couple of days.

Ta

For house music.. or any kind of techno or even hip-hop clubs.. HongDae would be the place with 'Club Day'.

M2 would be a starting point.. and then just follow the crowds. However, on Club Day, there is so much coming and going out of and into every club, sometimes its a bit overwhelming. Particularly M2 (or anywhere that night) where its just people going in and out, no room to actually stand or dance, etc.

But still great to be in HongDae in the streets and such experiencing the thing if you haven't before.

I went to XXXX near Gangnam station(4X-like the aussie beer)and the crowd was almost exclusively US army.

A little bit different from the usual army folk as they'd opted away from Itaewon/Hongdae.

OK thats close to what I was guessing. Should I just take the subway there or is there a faster way via bus or combination of the two? I can't seem to find a decent bus route online...

It's a university with a lot of clubs around it. The main subway station is Hongdae station on the green line. You can also get off at Sangsu station on the brown line.

If you're pinching pennies and leave at a reasonable hour, you can catch the subway to City Hall on line 2 (5 stops) and then go out exit 7. Turn right and follow the red buses to the stop, which is about 3 minutes away. Catch one that goes to Seohyun but skips Gangnam/Yangjae; there are about 4 or 5 buses that do this, including 9401. You'll be at Seohyun in 20 minutes with no traffic, or maybe 40 with traffic. Subway ride is maybe 10-12 minutes.

The buses don't run all that late, though.

It's the area between Shinchon, Hongik Uni, and Sangsu stations. Hongik is the best choice for finding your way to the clubs and such.

Club Day I believe was last weekend. Hong Dae is a pretty good area. It's got lots of good music and dancing. It's a great place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there. Wink

Yeah I'll be leaving after 2am I'm sure. The subway stops at midnight, no? I was assuming I'd be taxiing home. But as for the way to get there, subway only is quick enough, right?
