Mr. bbp,

You have seriously misread RR's posts, haven't you? True, he knows many, many sites, but all of them are sites about how bad things are in Korea or how K unis are screwing foreign professor-wannabes.

I thought that Real Reality was just a really sophisticated bot!

If that's a real person, then s/he has the tenacity, discipline and mental focus of a Zen Master: like a Ninjutsu Master of data-mining, or something!

Yes, it is. And you, I and everyone else who has hung around Dave's for more than a few days know that RR read my response and went into a tizzy finding a non-judgemental basketball site to post: gotta find one, gotta find one, gotta find one...pant, pant, pant. I can see the sweat flying from his brow from here...and it nearly killed him to do it. But he did it!!!

Good boy, RR. Good boy.

Korean Economy Reels From Triple Whammy!! Surprised Shocked Crying or Very sad
Prices have emerged as the key factor to determine Koreas performance this year. Experts worry that if prices go up while employment and income stay the same, they could deal a fatal blow to the economy.
http://english.chosun.com/w21data/html/news/200607/200607270014.html

Did you see that??? A "FATAL blow" they said! As in, That's it! Sayonara, Korean economy! Ain't getting back up again! Broken & useless! Eternal doom! Dead forever! Shocked

Hey Real Reality, remember your thread a couple years ago about the "horde of whammies" that were coming to get the Korean economy? What's this affection Koreans have with "whammy"? Always considered it a silly word.

That post was back in 2003

Triple Dip Haunts Korean Economy
Under a triple-dip recession, gross domestic product growth will slide back into the negative after two or three rounds of brief positive signs.

The economy, which is in the first recession since the 1997 economic crisis, has suffered from a horde of whammies throughout this tumultuous year.
By Lee Chi-dong, Korea Times (November 20, 2003)
http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/biz/200311/kt2003112017202111860.htm

Have you ever heard of a horde of whammies?

horde
1: a vast multitude
2: a nomadic community
3: a moving crowd

whammy (whammies)
1. A supernatural spell for subduing an adversary; a hex: put the whammy on someone.
2. A serious or devastating setback: "The triple whammy: government cuts, declining corporate giving, and less favorable tax laws" (New York Times).

Ooooh. Nice.

And I am always thankful for RR's input. Cept when it gets redundant like that damn teachers' salaries article. (It's permeated my consciousness).

Cheers, RR.
