Does it say "International" in the top left corner?
Does it have a Cirrus, Maestro or VISA logo on the front?
If you answered YES to those questions then it can be used overseas.
If you answered NO, then it is only good in Korea. |

If you answered YES to the questions, then the answer is "maybe"
I asked for, and got, an international ATM bank card from KB*. Next day the bank manager called me up and told me that because I was a foreigner I wasn't allowed the card so it wouldn't work internationally any more. So I got one that looks international but isn't. Bah. |

I may be wrong, but I think that they changed the law a year or two ago. You used to be able to withdraw money from an ATM world-wide with your Korean international bank card, but I don't think you can any more.
OH!! And just a FYI for those of you who have a Samsung credit card: You have a cash limit of 50 만원!!! |
