A week from today, the 1st Annual Pentaport Festival will take place. It is being held at Songdo Resort in Incheon. Bands such as Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Snow Patrol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jaurim, Windy City, Atmosphere, Balck Eyed Peas, Placebo and many more are scheduled to appear. There are many tickets left and can be purchased by phone or at the festival. For more information, go to www.pentaportrock.com

Hope to see you all there.

Sorry call me a pessimist but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Hasn't Pentaport tried to do concerts in the past? If I remember correctly they've planned great shows a few times over the years but it always falls apart at the last second. The bands were never paid or whatever and they don't show up. I would buy a ticket until you know for sure that the bands are in the country.

Yikes! the hostility!

Since the late 1990s, some big rock bands have made their way to Korea, but never so many A-list combos all in one summer. After being cancelled eight years ago due to heavy rainfall, the Pentaport Rock Festival, for which organizers have already assembled a gigantic playground, returns this July 28-30 at Incheon's Songdo.

The article neglects to mention that the festival was cancelled twice prior to the year with the heavy rainfall. Ask anyone who's been here a while.
Sorry but it's not 'slanderous BS' if it's true.

If it's raining like today is it still going ahead??
I guess they have measures for counteracting the rain. Not good for those campers thou

Also anyone know the fastest way for getting there from near Itaewon.
There are quite a few options on their website.

You guys think it's still on for today?

If it's cancelled, will the tickets be refunded? I don't know how it's been the last few times it was cancelled. I just have this huge fear that I'll get there, and there will be a huge padlock on some gate with a sign that reads "*beep* off."

You guys can get off at Dongchundong stn. on the Incheon line (light blue color). It's right after Woninjae stn. I'd take a taxi from there (maybe about 2000 or so won). All the taxi drivers know Songdo Beach-ee resort-uh. In case that doesn't work, say Songdo Beach hotel (across from the resort). Have fun!

It may seem rather obvious to most.. but when you say Dongchundong stn.. you mean Dongchun station right? (Can't see the former on the map)
