Joe Shuster, co-creator of Superman, also cousin of comedian Frank Shuster.
Henry Woodward, inventor of the light bulb, who later sold the patent to Thomas Edison.

I don't think you can talk about famous Canadians without talking about all the comedians we've produced: Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, John Candy, Martin Short and Eugene Levy (to name a few). As you can tell, I was a huge fan of the old SCTV Network.

I always thought Linus Pauling was born and educated in the US.

According to the nobel prize organisation he was born and educated in Portland Oregon.

Lots of Canadians became famous in Europe, China, and many other countries. Should we only count the ones who became famous in Canada. Imagine not counting General Patton as famous! Though I believe someone else already called you an idiot so I don't need to.

He moved to America when he was 10 and actually developed it with his American friends while in America. So, while a Canadian did create him, the Canadian connection isn't that strong.
