I live in busan and I've been up in city today.

I've eaten at Gecko's before and had a perfectly acceptable hamburger or whatever it is I ordered.

THIS time, I had the "pastrami" sandwich. Dissapointing to say the least. Thick doughy bread and hardly enough meat. The whole bite tasted only of bun: I wasn't sure there was any meat at all. When I FINALLY got a bite with more meat than bun, it was terribly boring.

So

If you go to GECKO'S DON't order THE PASTRAMI SANDWICH!

If you go to Poncho's in Itaewon, don't order anything. Never had worse Mexican food in my life. Not even when I lived in Clarksville, TN or Heidelberg, Germany.

If you go to KOREA don't order anything anything labelled as "FUSION" FOOD . That's just the Korean way of saying, "We don't know how to do it (Indian / Mexican / Thai / Greek / Italian / Lebanese / Whatever cuisine) the right way, so we'll do it our way instead."

If you go to Subway, don't order anything with meat, as it has gone bad, or is well on it's way.

Oh wait, the Subway closed down.

HaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I *WISH* it was mayonaise most of the time. Usually its that pink sauce. Is that thousand island or something? Whatever it is, when I get salad I DON'T WANT pink sauce soup with a dash of cabbage.

Oh man that is a painful lesson to learn, ain't it? I must have tried fifteen fusion places - I really wanted them to be good - before I finally gave up.

Ooooh nasty. But honestly that whole sentence would send shivers up my spine no matter what country the place was in - even Quebec. Wink

If you go to 소주찾는 사람들 in Anyang, don't get the tubu kimchi. It's way too sweet and there's not enough tofu.
