Hello all,
I'm a British graduate taking a gap year and I'm considering teaching English abroad for part of it. I've been to S Korea before, I like the food and country, I could do with some teaching experience, and money is much needed. But on the other hand, I'd prefer not to have to spend my whole year in Korea, and it sounds like almost all contracts are 12 months? What I'd like to know is, how possible is it to find shorter contracts? If I just tell recruiters and schools from the start I only want to do like 6 months, do you think I have much chance of getting hired? I wouldn't want to lie about it. I know there are summer and winter camps, but then I've never taught before and I've read plenty of horror stories here about them...
Thanks! |
