Alright, I have to pick something here AND FAST. I interviewed for the following jobs with several people and spoke to teachers at the schools, but I don't know what to think about the choices. Help?

1. XXXX School in Jeonju. (I don't want to post the name right now.)
- This is my top choice, but there are some contract problems that I am trying to get them to fix. Part of it might just be my own confusion. For one thing, they faxed me two different contracts, one at 6 teaching hours per day and one at 7. The one at 7 is $210 more per month, but that actually comes to over a dollar LESS per hour on average. Also, the overtime rate they stated is $2 less than the usual pay per hour! Hopefully they will change these things.
- They also included nothing about the national pension plan. I asked them and they said they don't pay into that. Is that allowed?
- And they seemed a little hazy on whether they would sponsor a visa run, which is what I would actually RATHER do since the timeframe is cutting so close.
On the other hand I have talked to MANY current and past teachers and they all seem hilarious and content with their experience, and the area sounds really nice.

2. Avalon IVY in Bundang.
The actual curriculum/teaching aspect of the job looks best or most interesting on this one. The pay is ldefinitely ess than the first. The contract is specific and not hazy on the details. Current teachers say the school is really supportive and takes them on a lot of trips. And the pictures everyone sent me are great!

3. Yeonsei (sp?) School in Gumi City.
The pay is the best, although not by ALL that much. Everything seems to be in order. But Gumi city... some people told me that it's kind of an industrial city and small, maybe no the best place to settle in? Any idea?

What does anyone think? There is also a fourth position at GDA Bundang, but they are actually taking a while to decide. In a way this makes me like them because they are actually doing REAL interviews and being choosy, not just hiring pretty much anyone who is ready to leave. I don't know if I can wait for their decision though.... [/u]

Job 1. They must pay into the pension plan....if you're from Canada or the USA you get it back + their contribution. Dont settle for less than 25,000 won an hour OT.....if they want you to work extra they can/will pay for it. Get the visa run thing sorted out in the contract.....they should pay for it if they cant get it done before you come over.

Job 2. Takes them on trips....school outings or just the teachers? Negotiate the pay and see what they say.

Job 3. Talk to the teachers working there.....alot of times its the people you will be associating with over the year that make the difference over location!
