with ideas that is.
My wife and I sacrificed in order to get here; one of those sacrifices being our honeymoon. Well, this February, it's time.
We are looking for something like 4 nights/5 days. I would love to fly first class if possible. Budget ~2 to 3,000USD for everything.
I am looking for something Luxury 4 or 5 star style, everything included, somewhere in South East Asia (maybe even China). We were thinking Thailand, Malaysia, etc.
Please let me know. For this trip, we won't do the backpacking gig. Thank you.

Cambodia baby! But seriously are you looking at sunning yourself on beach (Guam/Saipan/Thailand) culture, a sterile city (singapore).... or basically are you looking at spending it in a swanky hotel room playing hide the hobbit (pick cheapest fare to destination that's not Korea, find swankiest hotel). |

Business class flights are 960k won return (direct - non-stop on PAL).
I would highly recommend either / both (1st hand experience). |

Wow! Those two places look fabulous, ttompatz!
Hubby is talking about going away again during Chuseok, he said Guam, I might tempt him to go to Cebu instead, especially Plantation Bay!! |

We loved both... our favorite by a smidge was shangri-la... Just a bit closer to the airport and town. The room on the water is a rush at plantation bay. Both are great 5*.
Both are on the west side of Mactan Island and about a 45 minute drive to Cebu city - cross the bridge and over to SM mall or up to Gaisano.
The Shangri-la resort is on the north end of the island (next to the Hilton) and looking over to the bird sanctuary. Plantation bay is on the south end of the island with a view over to Bohol.
If you want to get away from the resorts for a day trip then it is an easy trip over to the city for some sighseeing. |
