UN Unveils $7 Trillion Plan
(and solution to the world's problems at a stroke)
By Philip Thornton, Economics Correspondent
Published: 30 January 2006
The most potent threats to life on earth - global warming, health pandemics, poverty and armed conflict - could be ended by moves that would unlock $7 trillion - $7,000,000,000,000 - of previously untapped wealth, the United Nations claims today.
The price? An admission that the nation-state is an old-fashioned concept that has no role to play in a modern globalised world where financial markets have to be harnessed rather than simply condemned

Well I know you are going to bring this up at some point in this thread so we might as well get it out now:
Black helicopters.
What are you hoping to tell us about them? |

UN Youth Delegates Dragged From Convention Centre
Thu Jun 22, 09:53 PM EST
Three youth delegates to the World Urban Forum complain they were dragged out of the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre on Wednesday night by security officers.
A weeping Nathalie Lozano, 19, told CBC News the incident began when the three women lined up at a security checkpoint in the building,
on their way to the washroom.
Lozano says officials searched their bags and confiscated T-shirts with a political slogan on them.
"We had the shirts that say, 'Don't be a war toy.' We had them in our bags, we didn't have them on. When they saw us in the backpacks with them, they took it from us and they say we couldn't get them."
But she says she decided to back one of her friends who refused to leave without the T-shirts.
"I was a little bit hesitant, I didn't know what to do, 'cause I got a little bit scared, but she said she wasn't going to move at all, and so I decided to stay with them."
Lozano says she was then dragged out of the convention centre by her hair. "They started pulling us, they pulled my hair, they pulled a lot of hair off me."
Micheal Vonn of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association says free speech is compromised when a T-shirt is considered a security threat.
"You do have to ask yourself what country is this when T-shirts are being confiscated. I think that's deeply shocking. It's obviously because of what was written on the T-shirts that was the problem. But why it would be a security problem, it's deeply troubling, obviously.
"And then the allegation of the excessive force, again deeply troubling. You know, whenever we have a scenario like this, we want to know that there's accountability," she told CBC Radio.
The conference is being run by the UN, which means the convention centre in downtown Vancouver is not part of Canada during the session and comes under UN control, says spokesman Sharad Shankardass.
He said it is being policed by security forces from New York and Nairobi.
Shankardass says the T-shirts are considered "objectionable material" by the UN because they directly attack a UN member state.
However, he didn't clarify which one.
Nevertheless, he says the UN is taking the incident seriously and will prepare a report.

Make a democratically elected government the criterion for membership, so that the legitimate governments of the world are not hamstrung/held hostage to the maniacal dictatorships of the world. A system in which the vote of petty tyrant is weighted the same a freely elected government is worse than ridiculous -- it's destructive. |

Ole Natalie should be glad the cops confiscated her t-shirts and rescued her from such a fashion faux pas. |

In downtown Vancouver? wtf? Any true Canadian ought to be outraged.
Then there's the whole issue of politically "incorrect" t-shirts constituting terror.
It's becoming increasingly clear the UN serves primarily as an instrument of global fascism, ZERO accountability. |

So, what did you think about the scene in Fahrenheit 9-11, where American agents were patrolling in front of the Saudi embassy? Michael Moore seemed to think that was all rather sinister. |

Frankly i don't see how the two scenarios are even comparable. Did CSIS or a couple of mountie thugs forcibly remove the delegates? NO. If they had, you can bet there'd have been a much greater chance of accountability.
The presence of ANY armed foreign security or trans-national militia constitutes a major breach of national sovereignty.
None of this ought to be surprising mind you, other than the fact that Canadian "authorities" are too cowardly to take a clear stand.
*AHEM* Paging our "heroic" Prime Minister Harper
All part of course of the increasingly creepy UN / NWO agenda.
"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."
Henry Kissinger
(1923- ) Former US Secretary of State

This is all i have to say on this matter.

My point was that the professional paranoia crowd got worked up because the American government was protecting a foreign embassy. American cops kow-towing to the Saudis!!
But I suspect that these people would have been equally upset if the Saudis themselves had been guarding the embassy. Saudi agents patrolling American streets!!
What I'm wondering is how you would have reacted if the UN Conference had been guarded by Vancouver police or the RCMP. |

Was Kissinger stroking a cat in a darkened room when he made this speech? |

Huh? Where are embassy security anywhere allowed to patrol beyond their clearly designated compound perimeters?
