thats the kind of work i do, but i do advertising copy.

some of the best in my field can get $50,000 + 6% royalties... or at least that's the most i heard so far.

other "big dogs" get $15,000-$25,000 + 5% royalties.

it might seem like a lot, but the royalties is where the real money is made. if a guy is really good, he can create an ad that sells $100 million+ worth of product... in which case, his royalty fees alone will be $6 million.

there are guys out there who have created advertising that has sold $2 billion+ (throughout their careers). imagine 5% of that, or $100 million over a period of 40 years... that's still $2.5 million/year.

and some of these ads have been used for years. do the work once, get paid again and again. its the highest paying job i think (if you're good at it).
