In keeping with the spirit of posters who do not ever let ignorance of a topic prevent them from expressing an opinion: these books are crap. |

Good for what?
A quick read on a long bus journey - yes
An EFL classroom project - no
A thought provoking, in depth, life changing/challenging literary experience - no
Why do you ask? |

Personally, I find Dan Brown entertaining. I have read all of his books with no regret. Mind you, as several others have said, these aren't going to make you "think" or enlighten you in any way. They're fun books and that's it. To each his own. Dan Brown is entertaining IMO. |

I asked the question because I'm on vacation and I have nothing to do. Why doesn't this thread belong here? Is this not a general discussion? Last time I checked, books and music were general discussion. Actually, I'm a bit tired of people who have nothing better to do than to submit such petty arguments as if a thread belongs or not. If you have nothing beneficial to say, say nothing. |

And I say something, to point out that this thread does not belong here.
Seriously man, learn to read before you stick your foot further into your mouth. |

why doesn't asking about books relate to living in Korea? I live in Korea. I'm on my holidays. I'm sure lots of other teachers are on holidays and are a bit bored. |

You are reaching. Give it up before you choke on your foot. Seriously, just say "oops missed that point. I'll ask the mods to move in to the off-topic forum where it belongs"
Look at your OP one more time. Try to compare it to the posts that should be in this forum... and then go look in the off-topic forum.
