I am planning to marry in Korea in October.
I am thinking about the possibility of wearing a kilt ( as is normal in Scotland for weddings) .
Do you think this would be possible to buy/hire in Korea,
or do you think it would not go down well ? |

Is there a particular tartan that you are looking for? If you can't find one in Korea, they are easier to find in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Maybe someone here can lend you one. |

I don't think it would be a problem wearing the kilt at your wedding, koreans are quite welcoming of western cultures. The only problem you may have is finding one over here. I have been here for 9 months and haven't found one yet. Your best bet would be to buy or hire a kilt in scotland and bring it with you. Another option is to go online. There are a lot of good online stores who will ship anywhere in the world free of charge,so you could get measured up in a scottish shop and use these measurements for the online store. I would do this as soons as possible though to give them time to make it.
hope this helps

Any tartan really, but a Macdonald would be my preferred option.
I think we are going to change into Korean traditional dress after the cermony, just for the meal.
We are Christians, so we will not be having a big event.
Not having much luck online, although I will try Hong Kong via web.
Thanks. |
