BTW, Gmarket.co.kr launched it's English beta site this week. The listings on the English site aren't complete yet, but you can still pick out anything from the Korean side and purchase it through the English interface. You can also use foreign visa cards. It's a good move in a progressive direction.

damn, how do I get the Korean one to appear on the English one?
Edit - Ah. man. Under shipping country, they don't have the "South Korea" option. hmmm...

you still have to find the item in Korean. Then click on English. On the right is the last 5 items you viewed. Select the item and you can purchase in English.

The Purchase options are still in Korean though.

Shipping country?

when you select purchse there is a box that says ....

"for Korea domestic orders: Ship to Korea Domestic Address"

Your address should already be entered when you registered.

I wrote a while ago about changing a Korean version of Vista on my laptop to an English version. Things seemed pretty grim until I found this program at this website:

Vistalizator from www.froggie.sk/

I now have menus & pop ups that I can actually read - all in English.

It was very easy to do, which is good for computer-challenged people like myself, and the author of the program answered my emails within hours which was a nice bonus. Very helpful he was too.

Thought I'd share in case there are others in the same boat.

and yes, i do plan to do the research myself if no one replies, but i just got home from work, and i want to relax first

Way to go, Stormie. Although I don't need that, I can imagine many do need to switch from Korean to English Windows (and not just that alpha software -- i.e. that piece of garbage -- released as production software called Vista).

As for the others, only web sites that have a translation into English ought to be posted, IMO. How does it help us to have a website in a language that most of us cannot read (yet, or maybe 'ever' for some)?

I think domestic in this case would be Korean.

Anyone use 1way.kr or pc-love.kr? I found them because they were the only two websites that popped up when I was searching danawa.com for E8200. I need some miscellaneous parts (hard drive, case, PS, monitor) that I couldn't ship overseas.

I can't speak Korean but I did notice that clicking what I assume is "Add to Cart" takes me to an identical login menu at both of these sites. Are they related somehow? Anyone used them and know if they're reputable?
