				| I like a lot of them, however, there are a few that I will barely touch.
So what happends to these unfinished side dishes?

Do they get thrown out or recycled for the next customer? I suspect the later of the two.

If so, how healthy is this considering that I often use my chopsticks (and saliva) on the side dishes that I barely touch?

Unless you go into a restaurant run by shady people, I would doubt that they recycle your food. It's mainly your own paranoia. I think that most people have some integrity when it comes to food that people pay for, though I am aware that there are some people out there, in the world and not only in Korea, who will stoop to low levels to make money.

You're just as likely to get food that has been mishandled in Korea as you are in your home country. In fact, from my restaurant experience as a teenager, I would assume that you are MORE likely to get some food that has been abused in some way in a typical restaurant that employs students in you hometown than in a restaurant run by ajummas in Korea.

				| I am from the planet earth.
Anything from there is good enough for me.

Of course i take precautions regrarding health.

But darn it if I'm gonna quibble about who touched what.

The moment I ever ate ANY Korean dish comtaining an egg is the moment I gave up all safeguards in favour of a culturally-ingrained idea of safety/health

i haven't died from HOT storage of RAW eggs... the western equivalent of fan death

(i am drunk on soju at the moment: amazing how you can get home and a hlf hour later it can HIT you like a ton of bricks)

				| I agree with djwhatsisname... You are just as likely to get recycled food at home. All you have to do is look at the presentation of your side dishes. Do they look chewed??? I've never seen anything that caused me to believe that my side dishes were recycled. | |
