I got a message taped to my door.

(I've been in Korea one month and I can say a few things and read the alphabet.)

it appears to be a message from the post office saying they tried to deliver a package today. i think they're going to try tomorrow between 10 and 12. then at the bottom, it's got a detachable strip with two options:

su chwi in myeong
pal song il myeong

they're signature spots, but for what? can i have them leave the package at the door?

I think you've got it right. I've received the same notices myself.

I think I have the translations correct:
Quote:

su chwi in myeong : 수취인명: name of receiver
pal song il myeong: 발송인명: name of sender

If you're not going to be home during the delivery time, I would recommend just taking the notice to your school or hagwon and have someone call the post office to arrange alternate delivery either at your school or with your apartment building's security office. Sometimes, they are also willing to leave packages/deliveries with neighbors.

I wouldn't recommend having the package left at your door (although I've had it done without problem in the past for non-valuable items); it may not be an option if they need a signature, but if you give them consent, they may do so.

You don't need pity. We've all been there, done that, and bought a wardrobe full of t-shirts, I'm sure.
