Does anyone have any recommendations for some half-decent clubs in the Kangnam area?
I know Hongdae is probably a better bet, but I'm going to be in that neck of the woods anyway and fancied trying something new.
Cheers. |

You want to go to a Korean style nightclub? I suppose everybody has to try them out once. Just to realize they need never go to one again!!
I think you might like the western style nightclubs better. |

Harlem and NB are near Gangnam station and play hip-hop/top 40 music. NB is always very crowded(shoulder to shoulder, no exaggeration) so make sure that's your scene before forking over the cover. At the same time, I've never seen as many attractive females and males all together as I seen at NB....Harlem's good too if you like some hard core hip hop. A lot of the stuff they play there I'm not familiar with at all but it's usually pretty fun.
There are a couple of clubs near Apugjeong station as well but they spin house(?) music. Club Garden is one of them and it's pretty popular with Koreans and foreigners.
I would just ask for directions to any of these places as their fairly well-known in those areas. Have fun! |

It's all about NB in Gangnam... I'd rather go there than Hongdae and its much better than the NB in Hongdae... there's an NB in Apgujeong too...
If you want to go on a quieter night then Sunday is really cool... lots of people too but removed from the shoulder to shoulder of Saturday night... alternatively, put up 250,000 buying a bottle and set and see yourself in the comfort of the VIP Lounge from where you can access a much less crowded dancing area next to the DJ booth...
Paying into NB also sees you have access to Harlem too...
That's the only place I really spend my time in Gangnam... had a wicked time there last Monday night too... |

Thanks for all the help.
Might check out NB. Somewhere near the station you say. Or Club Garden sounds good - I'd kind of given up on clubs that play house music here. I used to live in London, and got very used to having some of the world's best clubs right on my doorstep. The things you take for granted.
Anyway, thanks again. |

No 4X fans out there? Used to be a happening spot when I lived there 4 years ago. Maybe it has changed. |
