I've been offered a job in OSS in Jeju (in Jeju city).

Anyone hear anything good or bad about them?

Then contact some previous teachers if that's possible. If the school won't give you some contact information then.....be worried.

I've (actually all of the foreign teachers) had a really bad experience at an Oh Sung Shik in Daegu. I don't know if that extends to the rest of the franchise, but I would be very careful about signing anything. Try to talk to as many people as possible who have worked in the place.

i know this is related to an old post but i work for oss in changwon and they have been nothing but professional in their dealings with me even going beyond what my contract stipulates as regards hours, class times and generally helping me settle into the job and korea itself.like some say, some of the franchise is bad but try not to tarnish it all with the same brush.if the op took the job in jeju, let us know what you think of it. i hope the situation for the daegu teachers improves. as it is a shame that my school has to share the name of a hagwon that is less than proffesional.

That particular branch in Jeju (if it's the one I'm thinking of), is a good one from everything I've heard. I've talked to the previous teacher, and she is leaving on good terms. Plus, the owner is one of my wife's friends from high school.
