I was wondering if someone can help me. I bank with KB and all the ones near me there is no one who speaks even decent English. I was wondering if someone can refer one to me because I have to cash a bunch of travelers checks and it's going to be a pain. Oh! I forgot I live in Bucheon so anywhere in Bucheon or Seoul. Very Happy

Are they AMEX traveler's checks? If so, Shinhan Bank would be a better choice since they don't charge a fee for cashing them.

Also, regarding English language, I would recommend using one of their main branches in/around downtown Seoul. I've had better luck following that method with Woori Bank and Samsung Securities.

I could also be persuaded to volunteer my Korean language skills in exchange for some grilled pig flesh and some brews (I'm in Bucheon, as well).

Go to 'Nong-hyub bank' inside Seoul National University and look for Sang-mi Lee in foreigh exchange dept' and tell her a friend in Sydney recommeded her. She speaks better English than others and is very kind.

My last Woori branch would call someone at a main office and get them to translate stuff for us. Alternatively you could have someone who speaks Korean on call to dial if they need translation.
