Friday night I change my avatar to a cute Asian girl singing on her I-pod.
Saturday morning I get a PM from a Dave's mod saying "I have the most inappropriate avatar--please change it".
Monday night I'm looking around the Off-topic forum...and I see some dude with a new avatar...a cute Asian girl singing on her I-pod...
Hmmm...dude get your own. Stop biting.

That must be nambucaveman, grabbing the tiger by the tail- it's always fun to watch a new mod think they can change the board single-handedly.

I commented on Julius' avatar and copied the image on my post. Naturally it got modded out but Julius' remains. Makes sense to me. 
They better not complain about my new avatar anyway. |

Sorry to dissapoint you but I actualy got the avatar from somewhere else, not you. Presumably the same place you copied it from?
Ok this is the last glorious showing of I-pod girl. I'll trade her in in about 5 minutes. |

BTW, Jack*** and *** are not censored words here according to the filter, so what's the point in editing posts and trying to get people to not use words which aren't even filtered?

I AM watching the language, literally; I don't understand, are you so busy looking for bad words that you didn't bother to read my post, or... is that the answer to my rhetorical question?
If the latter, are you really going to decide for these forums which words we can and can't use, independent of the filter? Because that's what the filter is for.
Bust me for filter dodging when I do it, fine (I do it often enough, mea culpa) but, one more time:
*** and JACK***
are not on the list of words that are automatically filtered.
If you are going to decide independent of the filter, then I think you should also add: phuck, beyotch, poopy, arse, fecal, dung, dong, schlong, and trouser snake, ballsweat, erection, orgasm, and dirty sanchez to the list of words not filtered but shouldn't be used.
And furthermore, I suggest that anyone coming across these words send a pm to nambucaveman, giving him a heads up so that he can edit them.
