man, my wife is like 6 months pregnant. Every Friday night, I come home from work and rip a cd. We dance together to whatever i make that night. We spin and dance and frolic, all that. Because of her advanced condition, it seems she gets depressed quite a bit, but when we dance and spin, she gets so happy, and when i see her smile, i do too. Do any of you have any good jams to make my next friday that much better? Give me some good ideas for some good hip shaking happy making jams............I would appreciate it so much!!

Well, off the top of my head, I'd put The Kinks' Come Dancin' on the list. I think it would capture the mood right.

Congratulations, too, to both you and your wife!

This is probably too stereotypical of me, but my favourite music to dance to is good old fashioned bluebeat ska. If you can handle that, your best choice might be Hepcat. They're newer so the recording quality is good. The songs are soulful and there are some good love songs.

What about playing "Stuck in the middle with you".

Nifty 70s style.

Just came up on my shuffle. Should have mentioned it before:

C. J. Chenier and the Red Hot Lousiana Band - Man Smart, Woman Smarter.

Good boppin' zydeco.

And speaking of 'red hot' stuff, how about Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers' Ooo Poppa Do - a title that's right for your current circumstances. It's 1940s/50s style big band blues.
